“Education is the most powerful weapon you can use to change the world.” ~ Nelson Mandela
My Bag of Dreams Challenge is about helping kids escape poverty by getting an education. Last year, through the generous support of family and friends, we were able to give 300 kids in Lucena hope by giving each one a high quality backpack filled with school supplies.

This year I am partnering with Melissa Villa of?Project PEARLS?. Melissa works with the poorest of the poor in Manila where kids live in the worst conditions you can imagine – surrounded by garbage and waste where they scavenge for scraps of food to eat among the trash.
One of her communities?(Ulingan)??was recently relocated to Bulacan where Project PEARLS continues to provide support through feedings, scholarships, literacy boosters, livelihood assistance, and medical and dental missions.
Please join me in keeping the dream of an education alive for the kids of Ulingan. ?I am spending my 12th birthday with them this year and I will personally deliver the backpacks filled with school supplies when I visit the Philippines this summer. Your?$20?donation will help a child take the first step in reaching his/her potential. You will receive a picture of the child/children you sponsor and each bag will have a tag with the sponsor’s name on it.
Give a child the gift of hope. Donate a backpack and change a life – one bag of dreams at a time!
Thank you for your support! ~?Cassie Eng
